Closing the door for volunteer applications

From the very outset of the launch of our website beginning of September 2012, successive applications for registration as volunteers and screening process was done in parallel to selecting volunteers for TEDxSanaa starting with activities that will be held in the coming short period until the date of the conference itself on 31 December 2012.

It is worth mentioning that the applications that have been received were versatile and unique in terms of the interests of the volunteers, their specialties, backgrounds and the reasons they had shown about their desire to participate as volunteers in TEDxSanaa which made us feel satisfied for the vast amount of energy and creativity and vigor carried by the younger generation of this generous country.

Based on the foregoing and for reaching figures of volunteer applications we did not expect in, we would like to inform you that it has been decided to close the door to accept applications as volunteers on Friday 5th October 2012. The screening process had already been started for the applicants and will determine the short list who will be interviewed for the selection of the final number very soon.

We thank you all for the interest and positive interaction with us. Please note that we will keep all the biographies of those who have not been selected as volunteers for reasons related to the limited number. TEDxSanaa may still to communicate with them to help organize future events. TEDxSanaa is not the end, but it is only the beginning!
