The journey begins “Inspring Hope” from the oldest City on Earth …
On 1st September 2012, TEDxSanaa’s “Inspiring Hope” website is launched after almost two months of obtaining the official license for organizing the first and largest conference of its kind in Sana’a, Yemen. TEDxSanaa is expected to be one of the best events that could distinguishingly contribute in spreading the innovative thoughts and ideas in several fields. TEDxSanaa Team strongly believes in Yemenis’ ability in bringing innovative and effective ideas which would positively contribute in inspiring people to change their life and their communities.
TEDxSanaa Team has established a Facebook page and a Twitter account about two months ago. The purpose of which was to introduce the event, its objectives, and to obtain peoples’ opinions and suggestions in order to make TEDxSanaa “Inspiring Hope” a successful and landmark event regionally and globally. The Facebook page now has exceeded the TEDxSanaa Team expectations. It now has many fans who express their interest, happiness to hold such event especially after the “Arab spring” revolution in the country. On the other hand, TEDxSanaa’s Facebook page continuously displays videos selected from TEDxTalks which creates a real world of inspiration from ideas worth spreading.
TEDxSanaa’s website is considered an important stepping stone and precursor for the actual conference launch at the end of 2012. TEDxSanaa Team hopes the website satisfies visitors’ interests and expectations in providing all information, services, videos, news and updates, and facilitates positive and creative interactions with all audience to ensure the expected success for an event in this high stature. Other types of delivery channels for online or offline marketing will also be utilized.
Visitors, speakers, sponsors, attendees or volunteers could submit their applications online via the designated forms (www.tedxsanaa.com/application). The website also provides advertising space for Event sponsors.
TEDxSanaa Team aims through the successful delivery of this event to ignite the un-extinguished flame of hope through creative free thinking and to inspire people achieve positive change for the future and to deliver this picture of Sana’a – arguably the cradle of civilizations – to the world stage through TEDxSanaa “Inspiring Hope”. The future is beautiful because we can inspire hope today…
